The interior designer

Her aesthetic is often described as maximalist: she loves colours, patterns and layers.

As a designer, Andrea’s job is to infuse balance and personality into a space. Her architectural and interior design work at Design Intervention has spanned over 12 years.

She has a personal fondness for jewel tones and colours that make no apology for being bold, evident throughout her own home, from the master bathroom down to even functional areas.

Andrea creates interior architectural spaces for people that feel tailored to their personalities without sacrificing the beauty of decoration.

She designs turnkey spaces where everything has been thought about, from how light falls on a room’s surfaces to objects chosen for their symbolism.

A recognised expertise

Andrea’s expertise with colour in her projects was acknowledged by Dulux when she and her business partner at the time, Nikki Hunt, were invited to participate in the industry- acclaimed Colour Futures published by Dulux Trade parent company, AkzonNobel. The trend and forecast analysis was developed by a panel of international industry experts which decided the colour of the year.

She also served as a judge for Design Intervention’s own CSR – The Young Designer Award, which ran for over 6 years.

For the Lookbox Living Awards, she was a member of its judging panel.

In addition to that, Andrea was a recurring brand ambassador for LG Signature, an international campaign that earned praise in Canada and elsewhere.
